Tinsley & Co
The role
Tinsley & Co is my father's estate agency in Brentwood. I joined him in July 2021. The work has never been one job in isolation. It has meant keeping the office moving while also building the systems underneath it.
I designed and rolled out a new network so the team could share work properly. Meeting bookings moved onto a shared online diary so clashes stopped landing on the same hour. I also handle procurement. That means finding the kit the firm actually needs and negotiating what it should pay.
Around that sits the rest of the office work. I type correspondence and design graphics. I also answer the phone and help clients with their enquiries.
The website
The firm's website became a long build. The first prototype grew out of my extended project at school. From there I taught myself properly. I started with HTML and CSS. JavaScript and then Next.js followed after looking closely at how other agency sites were put together.
A second prototype followed in March 2026 and the final build began that May with mentor support from a working developer. The finished site is now live at tinsleys.co.uk.
What it shows
Every system I have built here started from a real frustration. The network and the booking diary exist because the old way wasted people's time. Buying kit taught me to look at price against what something is actually worth.
The website is the longer proof. Years of self-taught learning turned into a live product that the firm now uses.
